Comprehensive Eye Exams

We understand your eyes. But at Bawtry Eye Academy we want to ensure that you understand them too. During your eye examination you will be assessed for visual performance and general ocular health. We will work out how well you see compared to how well you could potentially see.

During your eye examination you will be assessed for clarity of vision and have your eye movement muscles checked. Your eyes will be examined internally for signs of potential vision loss.

The main causes for vision loss are glaucoma, macula degeneration and cataracts. All three affect the vision slowly, thereby making it difficult to tell if the vision has changed at all. This is just one of many reasons why it is important to maintain regular eye examinations. 

After your eyes have been examined, you will be given a clear and simple summary of how your eyes work and what you should do to enhance and maintain the highest standards of vision.
